Child Safety Standards

Effective Date: June 5, 2026
Last Updated: June 5, 2026

Reviveo is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. This page describes the standards we follow and the safeguards we operate, in compliance with applicable laws and the Google Play Families and CSAE policies.

1. Zero‑tolerance prohibition

Reviveo strictly prohibits any content, conduct, or use of the Service that involves:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including any depiction of a minor in a sexually explicit context;
  • Sexualized content involving minors, whether real, illustrated, animated, or AI‑generated;
  • Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes;
  • Sharing of personally identifying information (PII) of minors without lawful guardian consent.

This prohibition is set out in our Terms of Service and applies to every memory video, every Event, every uploaded image, and every text field on the Service. Violations result in immediate account termination, deletion of associated content, and — where required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) — reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

2. Safeguards in place

Reviveo operates the following technical and procedural safeguards to prevent CSAE on the Service:

  • Automated image moderation at upload time. Every reference image a user uploads — both for individual memory videos and for shared Events — is screened against OpenAI's moderation API before it is stored on our servers. Images flagged as sexual content involving minors, nudity in a minor's context, or graphic sexual content are rejected at upload and never written to our cloud storage.
  • Automated text moderation at memory creation time. Every title, plot, character description, and ambient‑sound input a user provides is screened against the same moderation API before any AI video generation request is dispatched. Text flagged as sexual content involving minors, grooming language, or sexual exploitation themes is rejected and the memory is not generated.
  • Audit logging of blocked attempts. Every moderation rejection — both text and images — is logged so we can identify users who repeatedly attempt to upload prohibited content. Repeat attempts trigger manual review and account termination.
  • Age restriction. Reviveo is rated for users aged 13 and older, in accordance with COPPA and the equivalent minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly permit accounts for children under 13.
  • In‑app reporting. Any user who joins an Event can report that Event from inside the app (the "Report Event" action). Reports are reviewed by Reviveo within seven business days, and Events found to contain prohibited content are removed and the responsible accounts terminated.
  • No public discovery. Reviveo has no public feed, no public search, and no follower/messaging system. The only way to view another user's memory is to be explicitly invited to an Event by its creator using a private Event ID and password. This significantly limits the ability of bad actors to reach unrelated users, including minors.

3. How to report suspected CSAE

If you encounter content on Reviveo that you believe violates these standards, please report it to us immediately:

  • In‑app: Open the Event in question, tap the action menu, and select Report Event. Include a brief description of what you observed.
  • By email: Write to info@reviveo.app with the Event ID, username, or any other detail that lets us locate the content. Use the subject line "Child Safety Report" so we route it to the priority queue.

We aim to acknowledge reports within twenty‑four (24) hours and to remove confirmed prohibited content within seventy‑two (72) hours of the report being filed.

For suspected child sexual abuse material specifically, you should also report it directly to the relevant authorities:

  • United States: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline — report.cybertip.org
  • United Kingdom: Internet Watch Foundation — report.iwf.org.uk
  • Other countries: the INHOPE network of hotlines — inhope.org
