Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 4, 2026
Last Updated: May 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Reviveo (operated by Philip Sopher; "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Reviveo mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using Reviveo, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and any profile details you choose to add. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile information from those providers.
  • Memory content. When you create a memory, we store the title, plot, characters, settings, photos, audio, and other media you upload, as well as the AI-generated videos created from them.
  • Event content. When you create or join an Event, we store the event details (such as the person celebrated and the event type), reference images, and the videos contributed by participants.
  • Communications. If you contact us at info@reviveo.app, we keep a record of the conversation.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information. We collect device identifiers, operating system, app version, language, time zone, and basic usage events (such as which screens you open).
  • Log data. Our servers automatically log requests and responses, including IP addresses, for security and debugging purposes.

Payment information

When you make an in-app purchase, the payment is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), or Stripe. We receive a confirmation that a purchase succeeded, the amount, and an identifier — but we do not receive or store your full payment card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • to operate the Service, including creating and storing your memories and events;
  • to generate AI-rendered videos using the providers listed below;
  • to process payments and manage pre-paid video credits;
  • to send transactional emails (account confirmations, receipts, video-ready notifications);
  • to send push notifications you have opted in to receive;
  • to detect and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • to improve the Service, including troubleshooting and analytics;
  • to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Service Providers We Share With

We share information with the third-party service providers below only to the extent necessary for them to perform their function. Each provider is bound by its own privacy policy and contractual obligations to handle your data responsibly.

  • Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication and lightweight real-time signals.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) — secure storage for your photos, audio, and AI-generated videos.
  • fal.ai — third-party AI video generation. When you create a memory, the photos, prompts, and metadata required to render your video are sent to fal.ai. fal.ai processes the data to produce your video and is contractually limited in how it may use it.
  • OpenAI — text-prompt enhancement. When relevant, the text portions of your memory (title, plot, character descriptions) may be sent to OpenAI to improve the quality of the AI prompt.
  • Stripe — payment processing where applicable.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — payment processing for in-app purchases on iOS and Android, respectively.
  • Mailgun — delivery of transactional and account-related email.
  • Expo Push and Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications.

4. When We Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information:

  • Within the Service. When you join an Event, your username and the videos you contribute are visible to other Event participants. Comments and likes are visible to other participants on the same memory or Event.
  • To service providers as described above.
  • For legal reasons when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Reviveo, our users, or others.
  • In connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app at any time. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information and your User Content within thirty (30) days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction or deletion of your personal information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • request a copy of your information in a portable format; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@reviveo.app. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Most rights can also be exercised directly within the app — for example, you can delete your account or turn off push notifications in your device settings.

7. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have specific rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact info@reviveo.app.

8. International Users

Reviveo is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service you consent to this transfer.

9. Children

Reviveo is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact info@reviveo.app and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secured cloud storage. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security and you use the Service at your own risk.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in-app or by email before it takes effect. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
